Celebrations pictures from yesterdays family adventures…
First we ventured down to White Rock Beach for some fish’n'chips at the famous Moby Dicks.
Then we headed downtown to the Vancouver Art Gallery to view the Monet to Dali Exhibit.
Followed by dinner at Delilah’s and dessert at Mum’s Gelato & Cupcakes on Denman Street.

“Labyrinth Lolly”

Art Supply Shopping!
The crowd had gathered before the store doors even opened.
Once they finally let us crazy Artists in, we decided to go for one of the ‘door crasher’ specials and picked up ten 18″ x 24″ Buzz Slim canvases with gallery edges for under $50.00!!!
Since $50.00 was my spending limit, I think we did pretty darn good.
They are sitting in my studio as we speak, waiting for the first stroke of paint to adorn them tonight (after work).
“Follow Your Creative Path”
My Artist friend Joanna has gathered a group of Artists and challenged them to incorporate a labyrinth into their artwork. This collection of artwork will be reproduced into a book (sales to begin July 1st), which will be sold to raise funds to assist in the building of a life size labyrinth in our local Fleetwood Park Gardens. (Labyrinth plans in pdf).
I began my art piece last night and finished it this morning. I know, I know… a little last minute. I have never done a labyrinth before, so I think I was a bit apprehensive.
I will post a picture tomorrow of my labyrinth submission, as it is still drying right now.
