Artist's statement

BrUsHeD WiTh MaGiC is the creative outlet for Canadian Artist, Nicci.

Her bright fun art lives in wonderful places such as Cyprus, Norway, The United Kingdom, Greece, across Canada and the United States.

A collection of her "Girlz" were showcased in the 2007 British Columbia Childrens Hospital Home Lottery located in the Morgran Creek area of Surrey, BC.

In July 30, 2007 Nicci was featured in two segments on the highly popular HGTV show entitled "That's Clever". This video is available for viewing on her MEDIA page.

Brushed With Magic began in 1991 with fabulously funky hand painted jean jackets and over-sized wall canvases.

B.W.M.'s Functional Art and Home Decor has since grown to include original hand painted articles such as Goddess Throw Cushions, 'Goddess Sleeping' door cushions, Handbags (evening bags, purses, messanger bags and even tote bags), holiday tree ornaments, Fun n Funky Barware, Chunky Chick Marble Magnets, Wall Murals for all ages, and many other forms of FuNcTiOnAl ArT fOr ThE gOdDeSs WiThIn.

'My Girlz' collection was inspired by the 80's movement of funky dyed hair which draped seductively over one eye. Back in those days I often sported that style. These fun and funky paintings evolved from that time period!

My POP ART collection was inspired by Warhol and a love for Jim Henson's work and Disney.

My acrylic paintings add the sparkle of life to any room (a selection are also whimsically embellished with glitter and acrylic gems).

I would like to think that my work opens up a door in every woman (and some men) so that they may 'embrace the Goddess within and show her a good time!'
